The designs in this collection are inspired by a traditional Myanmar floral design known as 'kanote' that can be traced back to the famed Pyu era, Myanmar's golden age. It is a pattern that is often seen in the ornamentation of temples and other artworks such as lacquerware, woodwork, and mural paintings.
The intertwining flowers and intricate petals are rendered using handmade filigree and open wire work - time-consuming techniques that are nearly impossible to find in Myanmar nowadays.
