Katherine’s signature design inspiration includes ancient global motifs from nature and culture. This is Katherine’s first foray into interiors with carpet designs that transcend location and time. The design of the collection was inspired by the wild flora travelers discovered along the ancient Silk Road, incorporating natural motifs that have been used in the region through the ages.
Katherine’s recent trip to the Middle East captured images of crimson poppy flowers, lavender thistles, and ethereal white jasmine flowers in northern Jordan, at the historic archeological site of Umm Qais near the Syrian border.
